Whether you want to study jazz, tap, lyrical, or even hip-hop, all the basic movements from ballet.
Premiere Downstairs
Before and after performing a ballet routine, you assume this position. Words have meaning "preparatory position." Head high, you'll head high. To pretend that this is a string pulling your body up to the ceiling and make sure your chin is level. Let your shoulders relax, and the curve of each arm slightly. The fingers and thumbs of each hand should point to, but not touching each other. There Positions are numbered for your arms and legs. But you will not always achieve together! For example, sometimes you have your arms in first position and your feet in fourth position. If you're just running through the positions Five Ballet, however, only the first position of the arm the first position of the legs, and so on.
First position, legs
When you stand in first position, tap your heels together, and try to point your toes outward in opposite directions, one foot on the other. The balls of your feet touch the ground. You try to form a straight line with your feet.
First position, arms
From your preparatory position, raise both arms slightly bent, but still, as if holding a beach ball. In the chest, the fingers should curve slightly.
Second position, legs
In second position, standing with feet apart, about the length of your feet. But you always face each other heels, toes pointing out.
Second position, arms
Then, raise your arms so that you have the outward your side. But remember that you are a graceful dancer! Even if your shoulders are up, let your elbows slightly decrease below the level of your shoulders. Fingers gently curved downward.
Third position, legs
You arrive in the third position by placing one foot before the other. The heel of the foot to rest against the roof of the back foot. Continue to point away from each other with your toes. Practice so that you can stand up anyway with the same facility, first with your right foot, then with the left hand.
Third Position arms
In this position, one arm is in second position. The other arm is raised through increased while your fingers are on top of your head, as if you try to feel on top of a hat. If your legs are in third position with your right foot forward, then your left arm should be above your head. The right arm is bent slightly downwards.
Fourth Position, Legs
Your feet are the same as in the third position, but it is a foot's-length space between your front and back legs.
Fourth position, Weapons
In this position, keep the lines of what a top hat perched on his head with one arm. Move the arm in front of others curved slightly inward at your chest. If your right foot is placed in front of your left foot, then your right arm is a in front of your chest.
Fifth position, legs
In what some dancers have appointed the position of ballet's most difficult, stand with your feet aligned against each other. The toes of each foot touches the heel of another.
Fifth position, arms
Increase both arm curved over the head. They should be about six inches apart. Your palms should face inward, and you should be able see your fingers without looking up.
And Remember …
As you move through your ballet positions, use your hip muscles thigh move the legs. If you try to turn your feet out from the knees, you'll hurt your knees forward, and you will learn never fashionable. When you move your feet from one position to another, keeping your toes on the ground. And your arms should always be gracious!
