
Hey Professional Ballet Dancers?
I have two or three questions. What is the average height, weight and age of ballet dancers. I am currently 14, 5'5 and about 110 pounds, is this the right size? What dance companies should I try to get involved? How many hours per week should I practice? How many years does it take to get a point? How many years of dance training have you had? Are California and New York good places to live if I want to pursue a career in ballet? Hints or tips you'd like to share would be greatly appreciated.:)
Dancers Start with the business as an apprentice at the age of 17. Some companies have a second company, too. You must train for at least one year with the school a company to learn their repertoire and style of dance that is unique to them before becoming an apprentice. Before that, you should be in a ballet school and take at least 20 hours per week. I train since I was 6 and I'm 21. I became an apprentice with a ballet company Contemporary a year ago, and I am now a full member of society. It is different for men and women. Men can begin a little later. New York is one of the best places to be dance. Usually, women should not be too great, because as much they should not turn on men when partnership. Most women dance until their late 20s to mid 30s. There are exceptions of course. In KK above … Juilliard is not a ballet company, and it is not a place to learn ballet. It is a repository of contemporary dance.
