Question for people very involved in competitive agility dog?

I just started there about 6 months with my Sheltie. It is an absolute natural and I could see his departure really far. It's me that is the problem. I'm really learning problems directing and movement which is so important to be good and to higher levels, right? I am clumsy and do not pick up things quickly. I always the last choice in the gymnasium of the elementary school, if it gives you an idea. I also never could learn the dance routines ballet. I am fast though. I do not want this to take me back. I heard the same instructors and people who have the agility of years comments on how my dog is excellent and "if only she had more experience, they could be headed now." Y there any books or DVDs you recommend for footwork and agility to work with your dog? My dog, Emma, is always barking at me that my instructor said, because it tries to tell me something. I have not noticed, however, that Shelties just seem to bark all naturally conducting the course.

I tend to be quite awkward … I am a big girl, not terribly fast and yet I did fairly well with the last dog I showed in agility. One thing that my favorite judge coach (Kyle Earl) of all time, taught me as an exercise of the start was to make a few practices a week, without the use of voice or arms (he would bungee cord in our hands to the waist). Dogs do much input beyond body language and touch off movements of the shoulder (which almost everyone does it without even realizing …. So when your dog goes on jump wrong if you look back a video tape that you will see your investment shoulder was told the dog to go on the jump). My Samoyed bark at me when I made a mistake.
