
The ballet world famous Hermitage to perform in South America-February 2008
The Hermitage Ballet of St. Petersburg, Russia came the United States in the Southeast by early 2008. Headliners of the ballet came to the famous Mariinsky Theater, the Bolshoi Theater and the Mussorgsky Opera. Members of the corps de ballet is the famous Vaganova School where all the great personalities Russian Ballet graduated.
This world-renowned ballet world will premiere in America in 2008, particularly in southern cities like Savannah, Albany, Athens, Macon, Atlanta and Augusta, Georgia and Columbia, Spartanburg and North Charleston, South Carolina, Mobile, Montgomery and Birmingham, Alabama, Charlotte, North Carolina and Jacksonville, Florida. These southern communities will be able to see the ballet as an important cultural experience that also provides an opportunity for the public U.S. to see classical Russian ballet at its best.

The Hermitage Ballet has toured throughout Europe and the Far East for several decades. The performance will all classical repertoire of the famous Mariinsky Theater (the Imperial Theater of Ballet under the Romanov dynasty). There will be two numbers from Swan Lake scenes from Sleeping Beauty, Nutcracker, Giselle, Don Quixote, Corsair, and the element together, The Dying Swan, created for Anna Pavlova by Mikhail Fokine in the direction of Sergei Diagelev in 1903.
